Lowest
prices on genuine organic and wildcrafted herbs anywhere!
Our herbs, flowers, and roots are "wildcrafted,"
which is the practice of harvesting plants from their natural or "wild"
habitat. It applies to uncultivated plants wherever they may be found, which
is primarily in wilderness areas. Ethical considerations are involved in
their harvest, such as protecting endangered species and preserving the
natural environment. When wildcrafting is done sustainably with proper
respect, generally only the branches or flowers from plants are taken and
the living plant is left, or if it is necessary to take the whole plant,
seeds of the plant are placed in the empty hole from which the plant was
taken. Care is taken to only remove a few plants, flowers, or branches, so
plenty remains to continue the supply. In the United States, wildcrafted
plants are regulated by the Organic Food Production Act. Harvesters must
designate the area they are harvesting and provide a three-year history of
the area that shows no prohibited substances have been applied there. A plan
for harvesting must show that the harvest will sustain the wild crop. No
prohibited substances can be added during processing. Whether you use our
herbs for teas, seasoning, or making spagyric medicines, you can rest
assured you are using the purest available materials.

Cinnamon Bark Sticks
Cinnamomum verum.
Ruled by Sun.
Cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka but is extensively cultivated throughout
the tropical regions of the wold. The tree must grow for eight years
before its thick bark is mature enough to be harvested. Cinnamon has a
long history of use in India, although it was first used medicinally and
magically in Egypt and parts of Europe from about 500 BC. Traditionally,
the herb was taken for colds, flu and digestive problems, and it is
still used in much the same way today. The infusion or powder is used
for stomach pains and cramps. Uses: warming stimulant, carminative,
antispasmodic, antiseptic, anti-viral. The spice is recognized for its
healing properties and is used as an antiseptic and painkiller. It is
also known to stop diarrhea, lower blood pressure, and increase insulin
production. Cinnamon oil was used in the mummification process by the
Egyptians and was applied as a holy anointing oil in ancient Hebrew
rituals. Cinnamon was also sacred to the Greek god of ecstasy, Dionysus.
When it is burned as incense or added to foods, cinnamon raises
spiritual energy to a higher level to return for manifestation in
creative work. Cinnamon comes from the fragrant bark of an evergreen
tree of the laurel family and is thought to increase spirituality and
psychic insight by stimulating the Crown Chakra.
Sticks of bark are 6 inches long. The pure bark is
cleaned, sifted, and dried.

Echinacea
Leaf
Echinacea purpurea. Ruled by Jupiter.
Echinacea or purple cone-flower is used as a blood tonic and
as a cleansing and anti-septic wash.
Echinacea root was used by
Native American shamans to strengthen their connection to the spirit
world. They believed it increased the likelihood that their spells would
work and also used it treat burns and snakebite. Ancient Chinese healers
used it as an antibiotic. Today, it is widely used as an immune booster
to fight infections and protect from colds and flu. In many clinical and
laboratory studies, as well as centuries of anecdotal evidence,
Echinacea has proven to be one of our most valuable herbs for all types
of infection. The root has been shown to increase the secretion of
immune-supporting chemicals in the body, while the flowers, leaves, and
stem have been shown to increase white cell activity. Like Arnica,
Echinacea can also act as an anti-inflammatory, and Echinacea is
strongly topically numbing. All of these actions are systemic, with few
specific anatomical affinities, and this combination of effects has led
to its widespread use and effectiveness in fighting infections from
simple colds, flu, and throat disorders all the way to more serious
infections such as venereal disease, blood poisoning, and possibly AIDS,
although anyone with a compromised immune system should consult a
physician before using any immune stimulant. Some people have allergic
reactions to Echinacea, especially to extracts taken directly in the
mouth. Symptoms of that reaction are rash or burning in the mouth, and
closing of the throat. This reaction is rare, and seems to be connected
to daisy-family allergies, one of the common causes of hay fever. Often,
no symptoms occur if Echinacea extract is taken in another liquid.
Uses:
corrector of the depravation of the body fluids, antiseptic,
antifermentative, anti-zymotic, boils, carbuncles, abscesses or cellular
glandular inflammations, blood poisonings, acute auto-infections, septic
conditions, bites of poisonous animals, Iymphangitis, gangrene, or
vaccinosis, erysipelas and foul ulcers, gangrene, venom infection,
wounds, puerperal septicemia, aching in limbs, stuffiness of nostrils
with mucus in sinuses and pharynx, chilliness with nausea, Malarial
fever, and sore throat.

Humulus lupulus. Ruled by Moon. A
well-known ingredient in beer, with an equally long history as a healing
herb as well. According to many accounts, it was long ago noticed that
some elderly women who worked as hops pickers experienced a return of
their menstrual cycles and other youthful attributes. This led to one of
Hops' most common uses, as a hormonal balancer and general restorative
during and after menopause. Hops contains strongly estrogenic compounds,
also useful for regulating and balancing the menstrual cycle. Hops'
other popular use is as a calmative and anti-stress herb, whether sewn
into a dream pillow or taken internally. It contains some of the same
sedative and anti-spasmodic constituents as Valerian, and can be applied
to many of the same imbalances. Unlike Valerian, Hops is also a bitter
digestive and liver tonic, and this combines with its calming, relaxing
properties to create a very effective remedy for any digestive upset
caused or aggravated by stress, or when there is cramping.
The wildcrafted herb is cleaned, cut,
sifted, and dried.

Ruled by Moon. Kava Kava is known as the "intoxicating
pepper." The mental symptoms are the most interesting feature of the

Polynesia as a narcotic and euphoric, as well as a social sacrament for
promoting friendly interpersonal interactions. Indeed, any important
community function within the native groups of the area is marked by the
ceremonial drinking of Kava preparations, especially in meetings where
there is potential for negativity, such as treaties or reconciliation
between enemy groups. Modern usage has shown Kava to be an effective
antispasmodic, painkiller, and sedative, and it has also been found to
be an excellent remedy for migraine headaches. It is also used for
nervousness and insomnia, and for nerve, muscle, and skin problems where
pain is involved. Historically, groups consuming Kava on a regular basis
have few troubles with diseases of the sexual organs, and they claim
that any outbreaks of sexual diseases are halted by the Kava before they

Milk Thistle
Sylibum marianum.
Ruled by Jupiter. Milk Thistle or Mary Thistle is native to the
Mediterranean and has been in use as a remedy for liver problems for
hundreds, if not thousands, of years. It gets its name from its old use
to increase milk production in nursing mothers, but is more commonly
known for its beneficial effects on the liver. Milk Thistle is used as a
long-term treatment for addiction recovery after the patient has stopped
using drugs or alcohol, and in acute, emergency care for poisonings,
whether chemical or drug. It is also valued for cases of mushroom
poisoning, and an I.V. drip of Milk Thistle extract is one of the
standard emergency room treatments in Europe for such cases. Studies
have also shown that Milk Thistle is particularly good at neutralizing
industrial poisons, especially those used in dry cleaning. It is claimed
to have the ability to greatly reduce the damage to the liver if taken
within 72 hours of a large toxic exposure, as well as being a beneficial
ongoing therapy if toxic exposure occurs frequently, as with mushroom
hunters, or dry cleaning workers. Milk Thistle accomplishes these
effects by scavenging the free radicals that the liver creates as a
by-product of trying to process toxins, as well as stimulating the
production of proteins and new cells in the liver. These effects can
also be used as part of a protective, regenerative, cleansing program
during and after illness or chemotherapy. Milk Thistle is one of
Europe’s most extensively studied herbs, and no acute or long-term
toxicity has been found in association with its use. It is used in a
whole range of liver and bladder conditions including hepatitis and
cirrhosis. Recent research has confirmed traditional herbal knowledge,
proving that the herb has a remarkable ability to protect the liver from
damage resulting from alcoholic and other types of poisoning. The active
ingredient appears to be silymarin. Uses: digestive, liver tonic,
stimulates secretion of bile, increases breast-milk production,
antidepressant. Carried or used dry, it is said to give riches and honor
to spiritually pure individuals.

MOTHERWORT
Leonuris cardiaca.
Ruled by Venus. Motherwort is native to Europe and was popular as a
medicinal plant in early Greece, where it was used to calm pregnant
women suffering from anxiety. A traditional remedy for mothers-to-be,
used in the last few weeks of pregnancy to prepare for a smooth and easy
labor. It was also historically used throughout pregnancy to soothe
pains and tensions common at this time, although it is now regarded with
more caution as a pregnancy herb. Motherwort has a combination of
effects which could make it very helpful around pregnancy and
childbirth, but it should only be used under qualified guidance at this
time, as it can stimulate menstruation. Motherwort is more widely used
for suppressed, crampy, or difficult menstruation, and often brings
quick relief. It is also calming and tonic to the nerves, heart, and
circulation, and so helps with the tension many women experience with
PMS, as well as being helpful to both sexes for all types of tension,
nervousness, insomnia, and over-stimulated heart conditions. Other prominent uses of
the herb include decreasing muscle spasms, lowering blood pressure,
improvement of fertility, the relief of postpartum depression and
menopause. Antispasmodic and sedative, the herb promotes relaxation
rather than drowsiness. Motherwort stimulates the muscles of the uterus,
and is particularly suitable for delayed periods, period pain and
premenstrual tension.
The herb is cleaned, sifted, and dried.

Uva Ursi
Leaf
Arctostaphylos
uva-ursi. Ruled by
Saturn.
Uva ursiis a low-growing evergreen with dark green leaves. The name is Latin
for "bear's grape" and refers to the small red berries that bears love
to eat so much. But it is the leaves that humans use for their
therapeutic action. A low-growing plant with shiny, leathery leaves,
creating vining mats on the ground in the dry forest areas of the world.
Marco Polo, returning from China, and the early colonists of America all
reported its use by native peoples as a kidney herb. Its main
constituents are antiseptic and astringent, and so it is most often
applied to urinary system infections which need a toning or cooling
action. It reduces inflammation, helps tone the structure of the
tissues, acidifies the urine to kill bacteria, and also contains
allantoin, the tissue regenerative constituent found in comfrey. Uva

WORMWOOD
Artemisia absinthium.
Ruled by
Mercury. Wormwood is native to Europe. It’s esoteric properties include
divination, dream enhancement, and psychic work. In the Middle Ages, the
incense was burned on Halloween to enable a person to see the returning
spirits of the dead. It was called absintium (“bitter’) by the
Romans, and this property is used for providing bitter taste to some
well-known beverages and liquors. Wormwood was one of the main
flavorings of vermouth (whose name derives from the German for
wormwood). Wormwood has a marked tonic effect on the stomach and the
gallbladder and is useful in adjusting weak digestion problems. It is
also used to expel roundworms and threadworms. By improving the
functions of the digestive system it helps in many conditions, including
anemia. It is also a muscle relaxer occasionally used to treat
rheumatism. The leaves of wormwood have antiseptic properties that may

Yerba MATE
Ilex paraguayensis.
Ruled by Sun. Yerba Mate is a stimulant and pick-me-up, but without
subsequent "crashing" and loss of vitality in most people. Yerba Mate
has gotten a lot of attention as an alternative to coffee. There is some
debate as to whether Yerba Mate contains caffeine, but like tea, it
seems to be in a form which is less damaging to the body than that found
in coffee. It is considered by many to be a whole-body tonic, increasing
the vitality of all bodily systems, acting as an anti-oxidant, and
balancing the metabolism and most bodily functions. The herb is cleaned, sifted,
cut, and dried.
